Raytown Final Quote - Nevco.pdf
Background & Rationale: The district's digital signs were purchased and installed in 2014. These signs are aging. The manufacturer has discontinued our model of signs and parts are becoming difficult to source. Although signs at schools inside the city limits of Kansas City cannot be replaced, they can be repaired. Signs within Raytown city limits can be replaced and their working parts used to repair signs in Kansas City.

The district worked with Nevco (sign manufacturer) to create a plan to replace all signs in Raytown City limits, secure all working parts from those signs and repair signs in Kansas City limits as needed. A local installer contracted by Nevco will inventory and warehouse all working parts to continue to repair/support the signs in Kansas City.

If the order is placed this December, Nevco will begin manufacturing the new signs, with as estimated delivery of mid-April.

The total cost of the project, including 14 new signs and repair of existing signs in Kansas City limits is $399,106.84. This cost was anticipated and was budgeted in the Technology budget for this current fiscal year.
