Background & Rationale:
|
The District's Wide Area Network (WAN) is the fiber that connects every district building to provide internal and external network connections. Unite Private Network has provided the District's WAN through a series of lease agreements since 1992. In 20212, the District entered the current lease for 10 years with the option to renew for an additional 10 years. It is recommended that the district renew the current lease through 2032. The annual cost of the lease is $343,778, with the eRate program funding 80% ($275,064.10), leaving the district with an annual cost of $68,713.90.
